A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Introduction:

OwO the Cat: The Mystery of The Smol Village is a short, non-combative story driven rpg made in one month.

Play as OwO, a mute genderless but most importantly very tall humanoid cat and set out to find out what is happening in The Smol Village. The game is rather short and not that close to a traditional rpg, but I hope most of you can enjoy it.

Features:

-minimalist retro pixel graphics

-dialogue driven story

-a very tall cat >:3

Heads up:

I am not an artist and so the game is rather weak when it comes to visuals. Still it is a story I wanted to tell, regardless of the lacking visual quality.

Wow I quite like this game quite a bit the characters are fun to talk to the art style contrasts beautifully with the actual premise and the Idea behind the game is great with the towns slow decent into madness and as each character losses more and more hope it really made me want to see what the next day would have in store for me, also the music is pretty good I wish it was a little more somber though but the actual track is great. also MAN did everyone hate Michelle like wow the whole town was calling her a introvert and how they didn't want her here always taking about her dumb flowers I honestly felt bad from this poor Michelle and then the next day her flowers just die and nobody cares, but anyways I really liked your game I'll be waiting for the next one.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

nah fuck michelle

what do you mean fuck Michelle? he just wants his pristine flowers man

Hey, I really enjoyed this game. Despite its simplicity it managed to convey a concept that a lot of people, myself included, struggle with. It's also inspiring for other game developers to see that you can make a profound game even with little use of art or music.

Beside that, I just want to let you know that there's an error in the Options menu. If you go into it and exit, the image at the top is the error that occurs.

Thank you for making this game.

I am really glad you enjoyed my game.

I have some guesses where the error could be coming from but I believe it is too minor of a problem to fix. Since making this game I have moved on to other projects so I don't really plan on bug hunting (unless something major pops up).

However, I do really appreciate you pointing it out because as a developer it helps me see my mistakes and not repeat them.

Thank you very much for playing and trying to improve my game.
